Aztec Myths part 1

1
Well....well... After talking 'bout the Europe's Greek Gods, now it's time to fly to Central America and talk about the Aztec Gods (Pretty exciting, huh)! For you who don't know yet, Aztec is an ethnic group that lives in the 14th to the 16th century in Central America. In Aztec life, religion is very important. They worshiped hundreds of gods and goddesses, each of them rules one or more human activities or aspect of natures. Because the Aztecs are agrarians, they have so many agricultural Gods. Wanna know the Gods? Let us tell you some:

CENTEOTL

He was the God of Corn (Sheesh, he made corn sounds like diamond). He was the son of Tlazolteotl and the husband of Xochiquetzal.

CHANTICO

Chantico (she who dwells in the house) was the Goddess of Fire in the family heart and the volcanoes.

OMACATL

Omacatl was the God of Feasting, Holidays and Happiness and an aspect of Tezlcatlipoca.

CIHUACOATYL

Cihuacoatyl who wass also called as 'Snake Woman' is one of a number of the Motherhood and Fertility Goddesses.

These are just some of them. Wanna know the other? just be patient and wait for us to post the next post.
