Most Popular Animals in Greek Mythology

7
Now we are back to Greece! We're not gonna blab about the gods again, it's all about the animals int the Greek myth. They played range of roles in the lives of the Greek myth, from devouring to helping. The animals below is some of them which are the most popular. Which one is your favorite (we've just made monsters sound like products, huh)?

Medusa
She goes on this list of animal and animal-like creatures from mythology because she was transformed by Athena into a woman snakey hair. One look at Medusa can turn a human being to stone! Creepy... From her severed head sprang the winged horse Pegasus, whose father was Poseidon.

Chiron
Don't mistake hime to Charon, the ferry man, was half man and half horse because he was a Centaur. Some would ask, what's a Centaur? It is a mythical creature with the head of human and body of a horse. He was the son of Cronus and is credited with inventing medicine.

Minotaur
A Minotaur was also half-human and half-animal creature, but in this case, it's a bull. Unlike the Centaur, his bull half is usually shown as his head. His mother was the Queen of Crete, Pasiphae. His father was a bull Pasiphae fell in love with. The minotaur ate young Athenian men and women.

Pegasus
It was a winged horse that was born from the bleeding body of his mother Medusa when Perseus chopped off her head, Pegasus sprang forth with a warrior named Chrysaor on his back.

Learnean Hydra
Remember Hercules? Yeah, this one's pretty much like that thing Hercules beat. Lernaean monster had nine heads, and one of these was immortal. If ever a mortal head was cut, from the stump would immediately spring forth two new heads. It lived in the swamps and ravaged the countryside devouring cattle.

Trojan Horse
It was a wooden device designed by Odysseus to get the Greek troops inside the Trojan Walls. The Trojans took the horse as a gift not knowing it was filled with warriors. The Trojan Horse put an end to the great city of Troy.

The Loch Ness Mystery

1
Hey, we're back after some quite time of writing absence. The next topic is all about the Loch Ness Monster (ooh~). Before we start, we just wanna introduce my blog called Now Playing, which you all can access by clicking this link.

Now, where were we? Right, The Loch Ness Monster is somekind of a cryptid that is reported to inhabit the Loch Ness Lake in the Scottland Highlands. Some say that it looks like a kind of Plesiosaurus thingy. It caught the public attention on 1933 because of a photograph. Then, people started to give it a nickname 'Nessie'. Quite cute, huh?

At the top, you can see a picture that I got from the web. It's pretty convincing, with the neck raised up like that, but anyway, there's still no real prove of it's existence.

Anyway, it's late and I'm beat. I need to catch some dream clouds to get power to blog more tomorrow. lol. Anyway, this is it for now about the Loch Ness Monster, We'll definitely be posting some more in the future. ;)

Greek Mythologies

17
Hey, everyone, this is actually our first official mythical post. As the grand opening, we'll tell about the Greek Mythology, which is the body of myths and legends that belongs to the ancient Greeks about their Gods, heroes, and more. Modern scholars these days are studying them to understand how was the myth-making was done. They must be very sophisticated, huh, myths are not easy stuff to study.

According to the myth, all Gods were born as human beings, but they had some kind of power to regulate the aspects of human lives. They would never get sick and they're eternal (which are everybody's dream) and they have their own sovereignty to control in accordance to their personalities.

Before the arrival of the Christian religion to the country, Greeks believed and worshiped their own trust-worthed Gods. For examples of Gods, are: Chaos, the ancestor of all Gods; Titan, son of Gaia, which was the descendant of Chaos; Zeus, son of Kronus; and more. The Gods didn't live at the human paradise, though, they have their own special place called the Mt. Olympus and led by the King of all Gods, Zeus.

Confused? Well then we're just gettin' started, people, hee hee. This is just the hors-d'Ĺ“uvre of all stories we're about to share next. To see the more complete article of the Greek Mythology, just simply click HERE;)
